On 11th April 2019, Christians were threatened with physical assault and social boycott if they don't worship hindu deities in Janjgir, Chattisgarh.

Village council called a meeting and in that meeting, villagers asked the Christians to worship their deities and to bear the entire cost of the event. Hindutva extremists threatened the Christians that if they don't bow down and worship hindu deities then they will be faced with severe consequences including physical assault and social boycott. Christians are in fear now.
